Thanks for your feedback! May I please ask if you could explain your comment around learners seeing potential in every situation and how that relates to Connectivism?
Also, I found the following Utube clip which supported your idea that as teachers we must incorporate a mixture of theories into our teaching method....otherwise the teaching profession would end up an army of Sheldon Coopers (horrifying thought!)
As a side note, does anyone know how to embed a video or picture as part of a reply to a comment?
Great film clip Susan. made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI guess my comment about your art work in the first blog was around the notion that our students need to be encouraged to look for solutions to problems and make connections themselves without being told a step by step way to proceed.
Hoping this helps.
keep up the good work.
PS I don't think the comment box allows us to embed photos or clips etc. Not a good design feature.
Hey Susan, how are you going. I like your blog it is great. I like how you talk about the light bulbs where you state that you believe that "learning" is a state within an individual (the light bulb has to switch on internally). I feel though that with some (particularly some kids) they can be like that lonely house at night. "Lights are on but nobodies home"
ReplyDeleteI love this quote and I think it has merit here
ReplyDeleteEducation is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.

OH and it looks like Dr Cooper is using Behaviourist theory to quite good effect and I've just realised he uses other learning theories through out the series.
